Making disciples of our neighbors, the nations and the next generation in radical Christian love.
It is so good to be back in town! As is often the case with international trips, my experience in India will be difficult to capture in words. But that never stopped me from trying, so here are some brief reflections on my time in India.
The spiritual landscape in India is as dark as it is tangled. Various religions have some kind of hold on the place, including Buddhism, Hinduism, Sikhism, Islam, and Christianity. Most prominent among these is Hinduism, in which families worship a select few of the millions of gods that they believe influence the world and their lives. These gods get angry regularly, often bringing suffering and requiring animal sacrifices. The responsibility of the worshipper is to perform the rituals necessary to stay in the good graces of their household gods. They turn to their gods when people get sick and trouble comes. Their gods usually don't help, but life goes on.
Against this religious backdrop, the rapid advance of the gospel in India begins to make sense. The people of India are intimately familiar with the spiritual realm and matters of faith. They just don't know the one true God, who is slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. When a Christian comes into their lives, preaching a merciful Savior and performing miraculous healings by praying simple prayers, Indians are eager to listen, repent of their idolatry, and believe in Jesus. The light of Christ is breaking through the darkness, and the Holy Spirit is moving in power. To God be the glory!
Even so, there is much work to be done in India. As a church with a passion for global missions, I believe that we should have a passion for India. As we continue to explore ways to support the work there, let's pray for our brothers and sisters. Pray that God would make lifelong disciples of Jesus and gather them into churches that last until Jesus returns.
In Christ,
Pastor Ben

If you are new(ish) to Grace and would like more information about who we are and how to get involved, we would love to have you attend this event! Pastor Tim and Pastor Ben will be there. This is a great chance for them to get to you know and you to get to know them. Please RSVP so we have enough pizza!
Join us on October 18th from 11am-4pm at Steve and Anne Darby's for fun afternoon on the farm! We will have hot dogs and a fire but please bring a side and/or dessert to share!
We will have some fun games and opportunity to earn some fun prizes! Please register so we know how many hot dogs to make.
Join us for a marriage conference that aims to help you break free from the “dysfunctional dance” while helping you build life-giving rhythms and practical tools.
But don't just let it end there! Get a baby sitter, a hotel room or ship the kids off to grandma's for the night of November 6th and 7th to allow yourselves time for deeper connection and conversation that will be brought up in this video course.
The course will be based off of the book "The Fight for Us" by Rebekah and Gabe Lyons but you will also hear from some local couples about their marriage experiences.
Please see "How to Video for Church Center" to learn how to navigate and share information within Church Center with other Grace Church members and attenders. If you haven't already, please watch the short video hosted by Katie Darby.

Check the linktree for more information on these opportunities. We send a weekly email full of information, including small groups, bible studies, and ways to get plugged in. If you aren’t getting it and would like to, please contact the church office!
The 4+2 Supper Club at Grace is a fun and easy way to get to know more people at Grace! Rotations change every month, where you are matched with a different couple in the church. One couple hosts and makes the main dish. The other couple brings a side dish. Plan a date for dinner that works for all, then invite 2 more people to join you as guests.
Tap the button below to be added to the rotation. If you have any questions or would like to try it out as a guest sometime, please contact Robin Smith at 515-298-0678.
A Discipleship Triangle is a group of three Christians who meet weekly to read God’s Word
obediently (Matt. 7:24–27), pray fervently (James 5:16), and bear burdens (Gal. 6:1–5).
Triangles provide a context for disciples of Jesus to have true fellowship with God
and one another by walking in the light and practicing the truth. It's our vision at Grace that
every church member be an integral part of a triangle that encourages them to grow in their faith, pursue specific acts of obedience, and actively battle sin.
They consist of 2-4 people (same gender) who meet weekly. Click the link below to find out more, or talk to Pastor Ben.

Year-to-date Giving: $275,246
Children are always welcome to stay with you in the service, but here are options:
Nursery: Available for children ages 0-3 on the north side of the building. Drop your child/ren off any time between 9:20-11:45. Please make sure to sign in and leave some information about your child.
Children’s Church: Children ages 4-4th grade stay with you in service until they are dismissed for Children’s Church. This takes place in the youth room, and kids have their own church service with singing, prayer, offering, and a lesson. Children may be picked up at the conclusion of the service or can remain in the room until after Sunday School. Children will not be dismissed unless an adult is there to pick them up.
Parent/Child room: Parents can take their children here for a quiet space to calm down during the service. This room is not staffed, but feel free to use it if that is the best option for your child. This room will have the service livestreamed, and it is right next door to the nursery.
Nursing Room: Available Sunday mornings from 9-12. It is across the hall from the nursery. This room will also have the service livestreamed.
Note: All of our childcare staff over the age of 18 have been through Ministry Safe training. We will always have 2 adults in each room.
