You will be noticing some (more!) changes in the coming weeks at Grace.  Some are big, some small, but all are intended to make Grace a more welcoming environment for newcomers.  There are two changes for this week.  First, we are moving the coffee from the current location to the coffee bar station in the foyer.  Coffee will remain out and available from before service until after Fellowship Time.  Second, we are going to "claim" the last row of the middle two sections of chairs as "Guest Seating".  There will be signs on the chairs to remind all of us of the changes.  There have been a couple of weeks recently when we have watched new people arrive right on time and struggle to find a seat, and we are hoping this easy change will have a big impact for our guests!

Lastly,  remember that in July we aren't having Sunday School.  We don't want that to impact our Fellowship Time!  Please plan to stick around to enjoy coffee and time with new and old friends, even during our July break.  

The focus for this week at Children's Church is Luke 4:18-19 and Exodus 1-4. The theme of the lesson is Jesus is the Deliverer.

The Fighter Verse is selected each week as a helpful tool for meditation and memorizing scripture.

Our church is changing software platforms from Breeze to Planning Center. All Grace members and regular attenders will use the Church Center app for managing volunteer schedules, group communication, giving, and much more!

Beloved Church Family,

It is with a joyful heart that I look back on the last twelve months. I thank you all for welcoming me so readily into your lives and teaching me about God’s church. Thank you for teaching me what a loving church looks like. Thank you for challenging me to be as humble as Geoff, as quick to serve as Richard, to love children as much as Libby O., to preach faithfully as Tim and Ben, to be as hospitable as John Pilk, and many more.

I have been poured into by all of you and am overflowing with love for God and for His people, and am now ready to be poured out for others who do not yet know Jesus. Please pray for me that I would rely on God’s strength and not my own. Please pray for the people who are about to hear the gospel, that they will receive it with joy and then live a life keeping with repentance and trusting in God.

Children are always welcome to stay with you in the service, but here are options:

• Nursery: Available for children ages 0-3 on the north side of the building. Drop your child/ren off any time between 9:20-11:45. Please make sure to sign in and leave some information about your child.

• Children’s Church: Children ages 4-4th grade stay with you in service until they are dismissed for Children’s Church. This takes place in the youth room, and kids have their own church service with singing, prayer, offering, and a lesson. Children may be picked up at the conclusion of the service or can remain in the room until after Sunday School. Children will not be dismissed unless an adult is there to pick them up.

• Parent/Child room: Parents can take their children here for a quiet space to calm down during the service. This room is not staffed, but feel free to use it if that is the best option for your child. This room will have the service livestreamed, and it is right next door to the nursery.

• Nursing Room: Available Sunday mornings from 9-12. It is across the hall from the nursery. This room will also have the service livestreamed.

Note: All of our childcare staff over the age of 18 have been through Ministry Safe training. We will always have 2 adults in each room.

Unfortunately, this year's VBS has been canceled due to a lack of registrations. Families who registered a child will be contacted.

Clayton's last Sunday as our intern at Grace is June 28th. We want to encourage him as he moves on to the next step of his ministry. Join us after the worship service next week.

This beautiful quilt will be part of a raffle for the Pork Belly riders who will stay at Grace during Ragbrai. It was created with love by Vicki Gustafson using Pork Belly and Ragbrai shirts from over the years. This is sure to be treasured by the lucky raffle winner!
